Dear committee members,
What peace could you possibly mean? Iraq is a status quo occupation and the Afghan/Pakistan theater is expanding. Iran, a signatory of the NPT, has been under constant threat from the U.S. as well as its European allies while Israel, who has some two hundred nuclear warheads and is not a signatory, continues without criticism. It would appear that you believe there are military solutions throughout the middle east, in which case I think you should recuse yourselves from any committee regarding peace.
President Obama has made a few elegant speeches ; after eight years of mangled orations from his predecessor, this does not seem to me very difficult. Words in matters of peace are nothing compared to action towards peace. Otherwise, Orwell's warning is now reality "War is Peace"!Dear committee members,

It is the same mistake another assembly of this committee made in giving the prize to Henry Kissinger, a geostrategist whose disregard for human life is well-documented. This is appalling. Obama has done nothing but appease the hawks of the Washington consensus.
You have given him another weapon with which to continue these senseless wars.
